National Quilt Project

The National Quilt Project combines love of country with textiles with craft with community into “an idea that can help repair our torn social fabric.”

The project is actually quite simple from a community perspective. Individuals, groups, and organizations make 18” squares. Unlike the typical quilt, in this one, you can use your favorite technique/medium: Paint, draw, weave, knitting, crochet, embroidery. . . When done, take a photo, fill out the online form, and contact Susie Cambria via email. Susie will arrange for the collection of the block and getting it to the national project organizers.

Together, the National Quilt Project quilt “will represent the rich mosaic of our country, expressing our histories, identities, and our common ideals of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.”
